Dear Donald, Re. Greenland

I hear you’re interested in Greenland. Again. As someone who’s spent the past 12 years in the Nordics, researching why this corner of the world refuses to bow to bullies, I thought I’d drop you a line

Dear Mr Trump,

We all understand why you ‘want’ Greenland, thanks to its position between the US and Russia, with melting ice sheets and glaciers opening up opportunities for mineral mining and oil drilling (despite Greenland’s 2021 halt on granting exploration licenses).

We all ‘want’ stuff. My seven-year-old ‘wants’ to play for Manchester City (I know…)…
